Shipping & Delivery
At The Second Standard, we understand you're eager to get started with your new tool. While we're not a large multinational, we do everything we can to ship your order as quickly and securely as possible.
Below you will find all information about our shipping methods, costs and delivery times.
1. Lifespans
We ship orders several times a week on variable business days. This means your package may be shipped immediately, while other times it may take a few days. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed again after the weekend. You'll receive a notification once your package is on its way.
2. Shipping costs
We ship to all countries within the European Union.
Belgium & the Netherlands
- Orders over €75: FREE shipping.
- Orders under €75: Standard shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
Other EU countries: For shipping to other countries (such as France, Germany, Spain, etc.), shipping costs are automatically calculated in your shopping cart based on weight and destination.
3. Carriers & Delivery Time
We work with reliable partners to ensure your package arrives safely.
- Within the Benelux: Shipping via DPD. Average delivery time: 1 to 2 business days after dispatch.
- Rest of Europe: Shipping via DPD. Average delivery time: Depends on the country (usually 2 to 5 business days).
4. Track your order (Track & Trace)
Once your package is packed and registered with the carrier, you'll receive an email from us with a Track & Trace code. You can use this to track the shipment all the way to your door.
5. Packaging
Because we ship knives and tools, we take extra care with packaging. Your order will be securely and discreetly packaged. This way, the contents are well-protected from impact, and no one can see what's inside.
6. Not at home?
Not home when the delivery is due? No problem. The carrier will leave the package with your neighbor or take it to a nearby collection point. You can track your package's whereabouts using the Track & Trace link.
