The Benchmade 580 Barrage was designed by Warren Osborne and marked the introduction of the AXIS Assist mechanism. This system combines the traditional AXIS lock with spring assistance, causing the blade to automatically spring open after manual initiation via the thumb stud. The blade is made from 154CM steel, an American stainless steel with high hardness and good corrosion resistance. The handle is constructed with stainless steel liners and black Valox scales, a glass-filled polymer known for its chemical resistance and structural stability.
Condition:
- Blade: The satin finish shows light scuff marks, particularly visible near the tip and the edge. The factory grind is still present but shows very light signs of use.
- Handle: The black Valox scales show light polished spots due to friction and regular use. The black coating on the pocket clip is worn through to the steel in several places.
- Mechanism: The AXIS assist functions correctly, and the blade opens with appropriate spring tension. Includes original black Benchmade microfiber storage bag.

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

Cleaned & Lubricated
No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

We stand behind our products. That's why we offer a standard 12-month warranty on the proper functioning of the mechanism. If, for any reason, you're not satisfied with the knife, you have a 14-day return period .
The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
