The Cold Steel Hold Out series is designed as a range of tactical folding knives, strongly inspired by the classic Scottish Sgian-dubh. Characteristic of the model is its slim profile and aggressive G-10 handle, featuring large round holes for weight reduction. This specific model is made from premium CTS-XHP steel, a steel known for its excellent edge retention and toughness, before it was replaced by S35VN steel. This knife utilizes the Tri-Ad Lock, one of the strongest locking mechanisms on the market. This model is no longer in regular production with this steel alloy.
Condition:
- Blade: The satin-finished blade shows minimal traces; no deep scratches or chipping visible in the edge. The factory edge appears intact.
- Handle: The textured G-10 scales are in good condition with minimal signs of use. The pocket clip shows clear superficial scratches and wear ('snail trails'). Hardware is intact.
- Mechanism: The Tri-Ad Lock mechanism and opening function flawlessly.

- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

Cleaned & Lubricated
No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
