This classic Laguiole model was crafted by the Arto knifemaker in Thiers. This particular example is characterized by the stamping of the ricasso with a seahorse logo and the 440 steel designation. The knife has a traditional construction with hardwood scales and solid brass bolsters that have developed a deep, dark patina. The back of the spring features machined filings and the traditional Laguiole bee. It is a slipjoint mechanism without a lock, with spring tension holding the blade open.

- Blade: Shows light signs of use and fine scratches on the flanks. The edge is clean and the logo is clearly visible.
- Handle: The wooden bowls are in good condition and fit seamlessly.
- Bolsters: The brass has darkened and shows heavy, stable oxidation.

- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
