An authentic French Laguiole knife from the workshop of Claude Dozorme in Thiers. This example is distinguished by the use of high-quality Sandvik 12C27 steel for the blade, unlike the less expensive steels often used in standard models. The handle is clad in dark hardwood and inlaid with the traditional "shepherd's cross" of brass pins. The bolsters are made of solid brass. The back of the spring features guilloche decoration and the characteristic bee. It has a slipjoint mechanism.
Stands:
- Blade: Very neat condition with original finish. The "Claude Dozorme" and "12C27 France" stamps are sharp and undamaged.
- Handle: The wooden bowls are intact and show light, superficial signs of use but no cracks.
- Bolsters: The brass has become dull and shows dark oxidation spots (patina).
- Mechanism: The spring is strong and the blade opens and closes solidly.
- Back: The file work and the bee are sharply defined.
Specifications:
- Brand: Claude Dozorme (Thiers, France)
- Steel grade: Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel
- Lock: Slipjoint

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.
