This is a special collector's item: a First Generation Leatherman Charge TTi. This early model (circa 2007) distinguishes itself from later versions by its classic "Old School" handle design with the fully spelled-out "LEATHERMAN CHARGE TITANIUM" on the scales. Technically, however, it offers the full TTi specifications: a premium S30V powdered steel blade, titanium scales, a cutting hook on the serrated blade, and scissors.
This example also bears a unique piece of history: it features the professional laser engraving "BAEMT10163." This code refers to BAE Systems (Defense & Aerospace), indicating that this multi-tool was originally issued as operational equipment within the defense industry.
Stands:
- Blade: The primary S30V blade is in good condition and sharp. The serrated blade with cutting hook is intact.
- Handle: The titanium scales show signs of wear (scratches and marks) that are normal for this material. The engraving "BAEMT1016" is clearly legible.
- Mechanism: The pliers (Cap Crimper version) operate smoothly and close securely. Some light contamination/oxidation is visible around the hinge points, but this does not impede operation.
- Note: The included micro-bit (glasses screwdriver) is defective; the flat side is broken off. The Phillips-head side is still usable.
Specifications:
- Brand: Leatherman
- Model: Charge TTi
- Steel grade: S30V (Main blade)
- Handle material: Titanium
- Pliers type: Needlenose with Cap Crimper
- Details: BAE Systems Asset Marking (BAEMT1016)

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.
