This is the original Leatherman Wave, the first generation of this iconic model (produced between 1998 and 2004). It can be identified by the "PAT PEND" (Patent Pending) or "TOOL" stamp on the tang hinges. Unlike the modern Wave, the internal tools (screwdrivers, scissors) on this model do not lock. The knives do have one-handed opening and a liner lock. The original leather sheath is included.

Stands:

  • Blade: Both knives show minor oxidation spots. Sharpness is reasonable.
  • Handle: Stainless steel frame with normal signs of use.
  • Mechanism: The hinges operate smoothly. The internal tools are functional.
  • Note: There is significant rust formation on the diamond file and light rust on the serrated blade.

Transparency Grading

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:

  • Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
  • Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
  • Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
  • Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

Cleaned & Lubricated

No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

Warranty & Returns

We stand behind our products. That's why we offer a standard 12-month warranty on the proper functioning of the mechanism. If, for any reason, you're not satisfied with the knife, you have a 14-day return period .

The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
