The Ontario RAT Model 1 is a robust folding knife, originally designed in collaboration with Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT). This model is known as a reliable work knife and is widely used within the EDC (Everyday Carry) and outdoor community. The blade features a drop point profile with a full flat grind, is made from AUS-8 stainless steel, and has a satin finish. The handle is constructed from textured black nylon (Zytel) scales mounted on steel liners. The design includes an ergonomic finger choil, and the pocket clip can be mounted in four different positions (tip-up, tip-down, left, right).
Condition:
- Blade: The satin finish shows light, superficial scratches and scuff marks across the blade surface. The edge is intact with no deep nicks or structural damage.
- Handle: The black plastic scales are in good condition. The black coating on the metal pocket clip has significantly worn away due to carrying, clearly exposing the underlying bare metal.
- Mechanism: Functions correctly. The liner-lock securely locks the blade, and the knife opens smoothly via the dual thumb studs.

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

Cleaned & Lubricated
No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

We stand behind our products. That's why we offer a standard 12-month warranty on the proper functioning of the mechanism. If, for any reason, you're not satisfied with the knife, you have a 14-day return period .
The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
