This example is the Effilé version (also called the Slim or Filleting Knife) of the Opinel No. 08. This model differs from the classic No. 08 in that it features a slimmer, ergonomic handle and a narrow, tapered blade. The flexible blade is made of stainless steel (Inox), specifically designed for fine slicing or filleting fish. The handle is made of beechwood and features a Virobloc locking mechanism.
Stands:
- Blade: Used. The steel surface shows several superficial scratches and visible blemishes (pitting/corrosion), despite the stainless steel specification. The point is sharp and intact.
- Handle: The wood shows signs of wear, including minor dents on the back. The black logo print has largely faded.
- Mechanism: Functional, the ring turns smoothly and locks correctly.

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.

Cleaned & Lubricated
No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Each item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You'll receive a knife that's clean, runs smoothly, and is ready for a second life.

We stand behind our products. That's why we offer a standard 12-month warranty on the proper functioning of the mechanism. If, for any reason, you're not satisfied with the knife, you have a 14-day return period .
The warranty covers technical defects not caused by your own fault. For Outlet items, the warranty does not cover defects that were already mentioned/visible at the time of sale.
