The Victorinox DAK (Dutch Army Knife) in Alox is the official pocket knife supplied to the Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) in 1987. This 93mm model is based on the robust Pioneer line and is characterized by its silver-colored, ribbed aluminum handles. The obverse features a smooth text area engraved with "KL 87," which represents the army's ownership marking and the year of production. The knife is equipped with four basic functions: a large blade, an awl/reamer, a can opener, and a bottle opener with a large screwdriver.
Stands:
- Blade: Shows clear superficial scratches and signs of wear on the steel; the factory grind is no longer completely original.
- Handle: The Alox scales show slight wear on the ridges and small dents on the edges; the KL engraving is still sharp and clearly legible.
- Mechanism: All tools have a strong spring travel and open with a solid click; the construction is play-free.
