The Wenger Ranger 68 is a 130mm pocket knife from the 'New Ranger' series. This model differs from the similar Ranger 61 in its lack of a one-handed opening mechanism . The blade features a classic nail nick and requires two hands to open, making it legally portable in countries with stricter gun laws regarding one-handed knives. Locking is via the patented button-lock system, activated by pressing the Swiss cross on the handle. The two-tiered design includes the standard openers and a corkscrew in addition to the blade.
Stands:
- Blade: The steel shows superficial scratches and snail trails on the flanks, visible under light. The edge is in good condition and free of chips.
- Handle: The black plastic grip parts are neat with light signs of wear (rubbing marks), but without cracks or deep scratches.
- Mechanism: The button lock operates smoothly and securely holds the blade. The slip joints on the other tools are properly tensioned.
- Tools: The corkscrew, awl, and openers are clean and functional.

We are strict in our assessment, so that upon receipt it can only be a pleasant surprise:
- Grade A: In excellent condition. May show minimal signs of storage or light rubbing on the scales, but is in very good condition.
- Grade B: A fair example. It has normal scratches on the handle or blade from previous use, but is technically 100% sound.
- Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. A true work knife.
- Outlet: Here you'll find knives with engravings, heavy wear, or defects. Always check the specific description and photos.
