A modern interpretation of the classic Laguiole knife, crafted by Arbalète G. David in Thiers. This model breaks with tradition by adding modern features: a thumb stud for one-handed opening and a liner lock for safe use. The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. The handle features a modern, open stainless steel construction with a flamed hardwood inlay (probably olive wood). The spine is machine-filed, and the traditional Laguiole crossbow logo is stamped into the blade.
Stands:
- Blade: Excellent condition with the original edge. The "G. DAVID" stamps and the crossbow logo are clear.
- Handle: The wood inlay is in good condition. The stainless steel parts of the frame show light, superficial scratches (snail trails) from handling.
- Mechanism: The liner lock engages securely in the first half of the pliers. The thumb rest functions smoothly.
- Back: Guilloche and the 'mouche' (bee) are intact.
