The Fox Knives Smarty is a compact and robust tactical knife, designed by the Italian quality manufacturer Fox. This particular example is unique: the original automatic spring has been expertly removed. This has transformed the knife from a switchblade (often prohibited in Europe) to a fully legal manual button lock. The knife now opens manually and smoothly, and is locked by the sturdy push button. The blade is made of high-quality N690Co steel with a black coating.
Stands
- Blade: Made of N690Co steel. The edge is sharp. The black coating shows light scuff marks consistent with normal use, but no deep damage.
- Handle: The anodized aluminum handle is in good condition. Minor signs of wear are visible on the edges where the bare aluminum shows through.
- Modification: The spring has been removed, so the blade no longer springs open automatically. This makes the item legally friendly as a manual knife. The lock and safety switch work perfectly.
