The Leatherman Charge AL is the aluminum version of the Charge family. This model features 6061-T6 hard-anodized aluminum handles with a black finish. The main blade is made of 154CM stainless steel, which offers a higher hardness than the standard 420HC steel of the Wave series. This is an older generation model with fixed, non-interchangeable wire cutters in the pliers head. The tool features scissors (unlike the Charge ALX) and a large bit holder. Includes an original Leatherman sheath.

Stands:

  • Blade: The 154CM blade is in good condition, with clearly legible factory markings. The serrated blade with cutting hook shows no major damage.
  • Handle: The black aluminum scales show visible wear on the edges (silver aluminum showing through), which is common with worn anodized tools.
  • Mechanism: All tools lock properly (Liner Lock and Back Lock). The pliers' heads and jaws show visible, superficial oxidation (flash rust), but the pivot works smoothly.
  • Accessories: Includes the micro screwdriver, double-sided bit, and a leather case. The tip of the flat side of the micro bit is broken off (see detailed photos).

Transparency Grading

We are strict in our assessment so that you will only be pleasantly surprised upon receipt:

  • Grade A: In excellent condition. May have minimal signs of storage, but is in a very neat, unused condition.
  • Grade B: A fair item. May contain normal scratches or other signs of previous use, but is 100% technically sound.
  • Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots. 

Cleaned & Lubricated

No nasty surprises or stuck tools. Every item is individually inspected and hand-cleaned by us. We remove old grease and grime and treat the pivot point with premium Ballistol oil. You receive a knife that is clean, operates smoothly, and is immediately ready for a second life.

Warranty & Returns

We stand behind our products. That is why you receive a standard 12-month warranty on the proper functioning of the mechanism. Should the knife not meet your expectations, you have 14 days to reconsider and return it.

The warranty applies to technical defects that were not caused by your own actions.
