This is a version of the classic Opinel No. 08, featuring a thematic engraving on the handle. The "Rando" (hiking) theme depicts a mountain landscape with hikers. The blade is a "Yatagan" type and is made of Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel, which offers greater corrosion resistance than the Carbone versions. The handle is made of French beechwood. The knife is equipped with the Virobloc safety system, a rotating ring that locks the blade in both the open (safety during use) and closed (safety during transport) positions.

Stands:

  • Blade: The stainless steel blade is in very good condition. The cutting edge is original and sharp, with no chips. The flanks have only minimal, barely visible scuffs.
  • Handle: The beechwood is clean and free of dents, stains, or discoloration. The engraved carving is clear and shows no wear.
  • Mechanism: The Virobloc ring is corrosion-free, turns smoothly and locks the blade correctly.

Specifications:

  • Brand: Opinel

  • Origin: France (Savoie)
  • Steel grade: Sandvik 12C27M Stainless Steel (Inox)

Transparency Grading

We are strict in our assessment so that you will only be pleasantly surprised upon receipt:

  • Grade A: In excellent condition. May have minimal signs of storage, but is in a very neat, unused condition.
  • Grade B: A fair item. May contain normal scratches or other signs of previous use, but is 100% technically sound.
  • Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots.
