The SOG Parashears is a specialist multitool designed for medical professionals and first responders. This model is built around trauma shears featuring SOG's patented 'Compound Leverage' gear system, which provides increased leverage and cutting power. In addition to the shears, the tool is equipped with various specific rescue functions, including a seatbelt cutter, a carbide glass breaker, an oxygen tank wrench (O2-wrench), and tweezers. The construction is made of 3Cr13 steel combined with glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (FRN), making the entire tool suitable for sterilization in an autoclave. The original nylon SOG sheath is included.
Condition:
- Blade / Shears: Shows light wear and steel showing through on the edges of the black coating; the cutting edges and serrations are intact.
- Handle: The FRN plastic is in very neat condition without cracks or deep scratches.
- Mechanism: Functions smoothly; there is light, superficial oxidation visible around some screw heads and the central pivot point.
- Accessories: Includes original SOG nylon MOLLE sheath in good, undamaged condition.
