The SOG PowerLock EOD is a robust multi-tool known for its patented Compound Leverage system. Thanks to the gearing, the hand force on the pliers is doubled, resulting in superior cutting and gripping power. This specific example is unique due to the laser engraving on the handle: NSN 5110-01-566-6638 . This NATO Stock Number (NSN) confirms that this tool is officially cataloged for use by NATO forces, with the country code "01" referring to the United States. As an EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) variant, the pliers are equipped with a blasting cap crimper for detonators instead of the standard jaw. In addition, the tool includes the familiar SOG V-Cutter and locking components. This is an authentic military tool ("Issued Kit") with corresponding markings.

Stands

  • Coating: Black Oxide finish. Shows clear, characteristic wear (scuffs and scratches) from wear and use. No rust formation.
  • Tools: All tools (knife, saw, file, screwdrivers) are complete and functional.
  • Mechanism: The gearing runs smoothly. The piano locks securely lock all tools without play.
  • Pliers: The jaws close neatly on the point. The wire cutters and crimper are intact.
