This is a piece from the original 120mm Wenger Ranger series, produced in Delémont. It features the classic "Hunter" configuration with a large blade, an aggressive wood saw, and a corkscrew. The blade locks via the characteristic "Slide Lock" system on the handle. Unlike many later models, this one has a plain edge (completely smooth) without serrations. Please note: This piece is offered as Grade C due to a defect at the blade tip.

Stands:

  • Blade: Plain Edge (smooth). The steel shows signs of wear and scratches. Important: The very tip of the blade is bent/deformed (see detail photo).
  • Handle: The black nylon scales show light bumps and scratches commensurate with age, but are structurally intact.
  • Mechanism: The slide lock functions correctly. The tools open and close with good resistance.
  • Other tools: The wood saw has been used, but the teeth are still sharp. The corkscrew and awl are intact.

Specifications:

  • Brand: Wenger
  • Model: Ranger 05
  • Steel type: Stainless Steel
  • Lock: Slide Lock
  • Length closed: 120 mm
  • Blade Style: Clip Point, Plain Edge
  • Tools: Blade, Wood Saw, Can Opener, Bottle Opener, Corkscrew, Awl

Transparency Grading

We are strict in our assessment so that you will only be pleasantly surprised upon receipt:

  • Grade A: In excellent condition. May have minimal signs of storage, but is in a very neat, unused condition.
  • Grade B: A fair item. May contain normal scratches or other signs of previous use, but is 100% technically sound.
  • Grade C: Clearly heavily used. Expect visible scratches, dents, or dull spots.
